Our Rehab Services in Massachusetts
We integrate the science of evidence-based treatment with the art of individualized care. Every program is tailored to address the complex emotional, physical, and psychological aspects of addiction. This seamless blend of clinical precision, holistic wellness, and refined amenities allows our clients to heal in an atmosphere of comfort and dignity.
Detox is the first step for many individuals entering recovery. During medical detox, your body clears substances under 24/7 clinical supervision. This is especially critical for alcohol, opioids, and benzodiazepines, which can cause dangerous withdrawal symptoms.
We provide structured stabilization before transitioning you into inpatient care.
Inpatient rehab provides immersive, structured treatment in a supportive environment away from outside triggers. You’ll participate in evidence-based therapies, group sessions, and individualized counseling.
This level of care is ideal if you’ve experienced relapse, severe dependence, or co-occurring conditions.
Residential rehab offers extended therapeutic support in a comfortable, professionally monitored setting. This allows you to build coping strategies, life skills, and relapse prevention tools while focusing entirely on recovery.
Many clients from Quincy, Brockton, Taunton, and Fall River choose residential treatment for long-term stability.
Opioid & Fentanyl Addiction Across Greater Boston
Massachusetts Addiction Treatment Trends
Opioid & Fentanyl Addiction Across Greater Boston
Massachusetts has been heavily impacted by the opioid epidemic, particularly in densely populated areas along I-93, Route 24, and I-495 corridors. Fentanyl contamination has increased overdose risk statewide.
You may notice increased tolerance, withdrawal symptoms, or repeated unsuccessful attempts to quit. Our medically supervised detox provides around-the-clock monitoring to manage withdrawal safely and reduce complications. From Boston neighborhoods like Jamaica Plain and South Boston to suburban communities like Hingham and Marshfield, we help individuals stabilize safely before transitioning into inpatient care.
Alcohol Dependence in Coastal & Suburban Communities
Common Addiction Challenges
Alcohol Dependence in Coastal & Suburban Communities
In areas like Cape Cod, Plymouth, and the South Shore, alcohol misuse is often normalized socially — especially in seasonal or hospitality-driven communities. Over time, drinking can escalate into physical dependence.
Symptoms such as tremors, anxiety, insomnia, or blackouts indicate the need for medical detox. Our licensed clinical team manages alcohol withdrawal safely while preparing you for residential rehab that addresses underlying triggers and behavioral patterns.
Growth in Co-Occurring Mental Health Conditions
Common Addiction Challenges
Growth in Co-Occurring Mental Health Conditions
Massachusetts residents experience high rates of anxiety, depression, and trauma-related disorders, particularly in high-pressure urban areas like Back Bay and downtown Boston.
If you’re struggling with both addiction and mental health challenges, untreated symptoms can lead to relapse. Our residential program integrates clinical therapy, structured support, and individualized care planning so both conditions are treated simultaneously.
Delayed Treatment Due to Insurance Confusion
Common Addiction Challenges
Delayed Treatment Due to Insurance Confusion
Massachusetts has strong insurance protections under state law, but many families delay treatment because they are unsure what is covered through the Massachusetts Health Connector or private plans.
Our admissions specialists can verify your insurance benefits quickly and explain your coverage clearly, helping you access detox and inpatient rehab without unnecessary delay.

Real Stories. Lasting Recovery.
Shore Point Recovery proudly serves individuals and families nationwide, providing comprehensive drug and alcohol addiction treatment at every location. Guided by a compassionate team and an evidence-based clinical approach, each center upholds the same steadfast commitment to personalized care and lasting recovery.

The facility itself was clean, calm, and well-organized, which made a huge difference during detox. The medical team was professional and responsive, and I felt supported both physically and emotionally throughout my stay.
If you or a loved one are looking for a detox center where people actually care and treat you like a human being—not just a patient—I would absolutely recommend ShorePoint Detox.

The therapy staff is incredible. Each therapist has their own unique perspective to care and recovery. Regardless of who you are assigned they genuinely want to see you succeed. Tommy is full of laughs and wisdom. He has taken the time to get to know me and my story and taken accountability when I did not feel heard at times.
The nursing staff on the whole very caring. However, they could benefit from more communication and organization internally. Sonia the Nurse Practitioner is very nice and took the time to ensure I was educated on medications before taking them. Angel, Gabe, Derrick, Jimmy, and Delaney are exceptional.
The resident Psychiatrist is extremely intelligent and straightforward. I think the Shore Point staff could benefit from a doctor who can be here more presently from day to day.
Gail and Becca from case work go above and beyond and are always finding ways to ease clients minds about their plans. They make the patients here feel supported in their financial concerns and as well as in their recovery. They make an incredible team.
The groups offered here are very diverse. The topics allowed me to explore recovery from an educational, practical, and spiritual perspective. They have been by far the best part of the experience for me. Even when I don’t identify with some of the sentiments shared by the group facilitators it has challenged and affirmed my own belief systems.
The Behavior Health Techs are incredibly hard workers. For the most part, they are focused solely on their duties. Similar to the nursing staff, they could benefit from a little more organization and maintaining a standard practice. I would like to shout out Shantelle, Keandra, Jenna, Laurie, Joe, Shaun, and Micheal.
As for the amenities, the facility is very nice overall. It is a soft place to land when seeking help and treatment. On the whole, it is very clean and orderly. Food is provided 3 meals a day sometimes more. As the patient capacity gets higher the amount of food sometimes doesn’t adjust to meet the new influx of people. Laundry is done for you here which is very nice. It does vary based on the BHT doing it. This could benefit from a standard of practice as well. Commitments are offered nightly. They are not associated with the organization directly and come voluntarily. You also have the choice to involve yourself in these commitments as well. I also spent my time here over the Holidays. The staff went above and beyond to make these days feel special and celebratory. Other amenities offered include yoga, facials, massages, reiki, and hair cuts. Yoga has especially had a profound impact on my recovery and mental health.
Shore Point has been open for less than a year. Many of the concerns I voiced are most likely a product of the time it’s been open. I see this facility being very successful in helping patients find recovery in the future.

FAQs about Rehab in Massachusetts
How much does rehab cost in Massachusetts?
The cost of rehab in Massachusetts varies depending on the level of care and length of stay. Detox typically costs less than extended residential treatment. Most private insurance plans in Massachusetts cover substance use treatment due to state parity laws. Our admissions team verifies your benefits quickly and explains any out-of-pocket costs before admission.
Does insurance cover addiction treatment in Massachusetts?
Yes. Massachusetts law requires insurance providers to cover medically necessary addiction treatment. Coverage depends on your individual policy, but detox and inpatient rehab are often included. We work with many major insurance carriers and can verify your benefits confidentially.
