Addiction Treatment Services in Cape Cod, MA
Since 2017, Shore Point Recovery has been helping individuals and families across Cape Cod reclaim their lives from addiction. We proudly serve communities throughout Barnstable County, including Hyannis, Falmouth, Mashpee, Yarmouth, Dennis, Sandwich, Bourne, and Provincetown.
Cape Cod presents unique challenges when it comes to addiction treatment. As a coastal region connected to the mainland only by the Sagamore Bridge and Bourne Bridge, access to immediate care matters. Many residents rely on Cape Cod Hospital in Hyannis for urgent medical needs — but long-term recovery requires specialized treatment beyond emergency stabilization.
We understand the pressures faced by seasonal workers, retirees, and year-round residents living in both historic homes along Route 6A and newer developments near Mashpee Commons. Whether you live in Osterville, Centerville, West Yarmouth, or East Falmouth, our team ensures fast intake coordination and same-day admissions whenever possible.
As a JACHO-accredited facility licensed by the Massachusetts Bureau of Substance Addiction Services (BSAS), we provide structured, evidence-based care designed for lasting recovery.
If you’re searching for addiction rehab in Cape Cod, compassionate help is just one call away.
Our Addiction Treatment Services in Cape Cod
We integrate the science of evidence-based treatment with the art of individualized care. Every program is tailored to address the complex emotional, physical, and psychological aspects of addiction. This seamless blend of clinical precision, holistic wellness, and refined amenities allows our clients to heal in an atmosphere of comfort and dignity.
Detox is the first step in recovery. During detox, your body safely clears substances under medical supervision. Withdrawal symptoms from alcohol, opioids, or benzodiazepines can be dangerous without monitoring. Our 24/7 detox program ensures safety, comfort, and stabilization before transitioning to the next level of care.
Inpatient rehab provides structured daily therapy, clinical support, and accountability. You live on-site while receiving individual counseling, group therapy, and evidence-based treatment designed to uncover root causes of addiction.
This level of care is often ideal for individuals in Hyannis, Mashpee, and Falmouth who need intensive support before returning home.
Residential rehab offers longer-term immersive treatment. You’ll build coping strategies, relapse prevention skills, and life structure in a supportive setting. This option works well for individuals throughout Barnstable County who need more than short-term stabilization.
Substance Use in Seasonal Workforce Communities
Addiction Trends in Cape Cod, Massachusetts
Substance Use in Seasonal Workforce Communities
Cape Cod’s economy heavily relies on tourism, hospitality, and seasonal employment. During peak summer months near Cape Cod National Seashore and Craigville Beach, substance misuse often increases due to stress, isolation, and temporary housing situations.
We provide structured detox and inpatient rehab that stabilizes both physical withdrawal symptoms and underlying mental health concerns. Our treatment model addresses stress-related triggers common in tourism-driven communities and builds sustainable recovery plans before patients return home.
Alcohol Dependence Among Retiree Populations
Common Addiction Challenges
Alcohol Dependence Among Retiree Populations
Barnstable County has a significant retiree population, particularly in towns like Sandwich, Dennis, and Harwich. Alcohol misuse can escalate quietly over time, especially in socially active coastal communities.
Our alcohol rehab programs combine medical detox, therapy, and relapse prevention planning tailored to older adults. We monitor health conditions that often coexist with alcohol dependency and coordinate care safely and discreetly.
Opioid & Prescription Drug Misuse
Common Addiction Challenges
Opioid & Prescription Drug Misuse
Like many parts of Massachusetts, Cape Cod has been impacted by opioid misuse. Emergency services near Route 28 and Mid-Cape Highway frequently respond to overdose calls.
Our medical detox program provides 24/7 clinical supervision to manage withdrawal safely. Following detox, inpatient and residential rehab focus on long-term relapse prevention, trauma therapy, and life skills development to reduce the risk of recurrence.
Isolation in Rural & Coastal Areas
Common Addiction Challenges
Isolation in Rural & Coastal Areas
Some Cape Cod communities are more rural, particularly along Route 6A and the Outer Cape. Limited public transportation outside Hyannis can make accessing consistent outpatient services difficult.
That’s why structured residential rehab is often the most effective starting point. We provide a stable, supportive environment where you can focus entirely on recovery without outside distractions.

Shore Point Recovery proudly serves individuals and families nationwide, providing comprehensive drug and alcohol addiction treatment at every location. Guided by a compassionate team and an evidence-based clinical approach, each center upholds the same steadfast commitment to personalized care and lasting recovery.

The facility itself was clean, calm, and well-organized, which made a huge difference during detox. The medical team was professional and responsive, and I felt supported both physically and emotionally throughout my stay.
If you or a loved one are looking for a detox center where people actually care and treat you like a human being—not just a patient—I would absolutely recommend ShorePoint Detox.

The therapy staff is incredible. Each therapist has their own unique perspective to care and recovery. Regardless of who you are assigned they genuinely want to see you succeed. Tommy is full of laughs and wisdom. He has taken the time to get to know me and my story and taken accountability when I did not feel heard at times.
The nursing staff on the whole very caring. However, they could benefit from more communication and organization internally. Sonia the Nurse Practitioner is very nice and took the time to ensure I was educated on medications before taking them. Angel, Gabe, Derrick, Jimmy, and Delaney are exceptional.
The resident Psychiatrist is extremely intelligent and straightforward. I think the Shore Point staff could benefit from a doctor who can be here more presently from day to day.
Gail and Becca from case work go above and beyond and are always finding ways to ease clients minds about their plans. They make the patients here feel supported in their financial concerns and as well as in their recovery. They make an incredible team.
The groups offered here are very diverse. The topics allowed me to explore recovery from an educational, practical, and spiritual perspective. They have been by far the best part of the experience for me. Even when I don’t identify with some of the sentiments shared by the group facilitators it has challenged and affirmed my own belief systems.
The Behavior Health Techs are incredibly hard workers. For the most part, they are focused solely on their duties. Similar to the nursing staff, they could benefit from a little more organization and maintaining a standard practice. I would like to shout out Shantelle, Keandra, Jenna, Laurie, Joe, Shaun, and Micheal.
As for the amenities, the facility is very nice overall. It is a soft place to land when seeking help and treatment. On the whole, it is very clean and orderly. Food is provided 3 meals a day sometimes more. As the patient capacity gets higher the amount of food sometimes doesn’t adjust to meet the new influx of people. Laundry is done for you here which is very nice. It does vary based on the BHT doing it. This could benefit from a standard of practice as well. Commitments are offered nightly. They are not associated with the organization directly and come voluntarily. You also have the choice to involve yourself in these commitments as well. I also spent my time here over the Holidays. The staff went above and beyond to make these days feel special and celebratory. Other amenities offered include yoga, facials, massages, reiki, and hair cuts. Yoga has especially had a profound impact on my recovery and mental health.
Shore Point has been open for less than a year. Many of the concerns I voiced are most likely a product of the time it’s been open. I see this facility being very successful in helping patients find recovery in the future.
